He’s adorable. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer, who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. During season 8, Angel Batista wasn’t always played by David Zayas. His son David Zayas Jr.

Dexter Morgan: I’ve lived in the dark for a long time

replaces his father in some shots, as the two bear a striking resemblance. Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later in the second season, the scar moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked. Over the years, my eyes adjusted, until the darkness became my world and I could see.

In the realm of cinematography and screenwriting, it is advisable to limit the narrative of the characters, allowing the actions, conversations and scenes to speak for themselves. However, if there is an exception, it is called Dexter. From the beginning, I was captivated by the character of Dexter, a dark and introverted individual.

Seasons 1 and 2 were exceptional, earning a commendable rating of 9/10

The strength of the character development was obvious, reinforced by an impeccable cast and a captivating plot full of crimes. However, the quality of the program began to decline thereafter. The introduction of new characters and excessive drama weighed down what was once a classic series. Despite my love for the character, I felt a gradual decline in her charm, including Debra’s.

However, I must emphasize that the first two seasons are essential and should not be missed

The writing and direction were solid, but Dexter himself remained the imposing centerpiece, as his take on dark humor remained a highlight. His narration throughout the episodes was a unique perspective in which we learned how he perceived things, people, and crime; It was absolutely captivating. I recommend this series, but I urge viewers to approach it at their own pace and choose the number of seasons they want to enjoy.
